Watch Your Child Grow & Thrive
Exceptional School Readiness Program For Boys And Girls!

School Readiness Program
Focus on building Islamic character
Play/inquiry-based learning framework informed by the National EYLF

Why Islamic Prekindy?
In our society today there is a strong emphasis on developing what is called “21st Century Skills”. This type of program is important, and yet it treats education as if its purpose is simply the preparation of the next generation for the future economy.
Education is much more than that. We have to grow children as people. At Islamic Prekindy we base our understanding of the human being on the Islamic worldview that we need to build a strong relationship with Allah and our fellow man.
We know children are wondrous so we encourage their eagerness to learn. Our creatively constructed curriculum helps develop and challenge children and put them on a path to school readiness. Our teachers are passionate and we provide a safe Islamic environment for your child.
SCHOOL READINESS PROGRAM
We will make your child's transition toward school filled with anticipation and eagerness. They will leave us bursting with excitement, armed and ready for a successful start to school.
TECHNOLOGY SUPPORTED LEARNING
We integrate the latest technology and programs (including the world-class Snapology STEAM programs), interactive whiteboards and iPads to enhance the learning process.
CHILD-LED PLAY AND LEARNING
Learning is child-centric. We encourage children to play and explore while facilitating in-depth inquiry projects led by the children, based on their own interests.
QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL STAFF
Our staff are highly qualified and care for every child’s needs. Your child is at the centre of everything we do.
QURAN, ARABIC AND ISLAMIC STUDIES
Our children learn about the fundamentals of Islamic belief, basic Islamic manners, essential duas, small surahs and have an Arabic curriculum.
FRIENDSHIP & SOCIAL SKILLS
For children, making friends is a vital part of growing up and an essential part of their social and emotional development. At Islamic Prekindy, we actively help your child navigate friendships and develop positive social skills, which in turn helps build their self-confidence.

Children Need Routine And Structure
Excitement
At Islamic prekindy, we focus on really knowing and understanding your child. How they learn, how they interact, and how they merge the foundations of social and emotional skills with literacy, math, science, and technology. Our programs are relevant and meaningful and make learning fun and exciting.
Structure
We understand the importance of routine and structure for children. Our pre-Kindy program follows a 30-minute interval roster that would be provided to parents each term. This ensures stability for students and allows parents to know exactly what to expect. Each half-hour interval will implement an objective that the teacher will focus on to help the students develop that particular skill.
Routine
As part of our routine, each morning the class will start with circle time which will allow students to practice introducing themselves for roll call, teachers to introduce the topic of the week, and for a group discussion of everyday life (what day it is and what the weather is like). This is also a chance for teachers to re-establish class rules and teach through songs.
At Islamic Prekindy, we want our students to feel safe by having minimal changes in our daily routines so we can establish trust between the students and teachers. This means that students will have the same teacher for the whole year.
While parents are welcome to discuss their child’s progress with the class teacher before or after class, teachers will also share photos and daily activities with parents on the Class Dojo App. Class Dojo will also be used to notify parents of any changes, important announcements and if the students need to bring anything specific to the school

Raise your rank in paradise
The Prophet (saw) said “A man will be raised in status in paradise and he will ask: Where did this come from? And it will be said: By your child asking forgiveness for you” (Ibn Majah). The first few years are pivotal in developing the right mindset and instilling good Islamic values in your children. Teaching children to make dua is a daily practice at Islamic Prekindy.

Prerequisites
Parents should be aware that our facility is private tuition and does not function the same as a typical childcare centre. Because of this, there are certain expectations we hold for our students prior to enrolling.
Our Pre-Kindy program follows a strict routine that requires a certain level of emotional and behavioural readiness from our students. Our nurturing and patient teachers will always offer cuddles and support to students who need it but unfortunately due to our detailed and short program, we can only accept children who are able to separate from parents/guardians with little to no issues. Of course, we will always endeavor that our students feel safe and secure at all times.
What To Expect From Our Teachers:
- Always friendly and positive
- Caring and nurturing to students
- Dedicated to their work
- Committed to the students’ learning
- Islamic greetings
- Sets a safe environment for students at all times
- Treat all students equally and justly
- Modest clothing
- Appropriate at all times (no swearing or blasphemy)
“We also have a 1:7 teacher to student ratio to ensure that each child’s needs is being attended at all times.”
What Is Expected From Parents And Students?
Upon enrollment, students are given up to two weeks to settle into our safe care. From there, we will honestly advise parents of students who are struggling to settle in or meet the following expectations:
- Understand and communicate in a basic level of English
- Follow simple classroom rules/instructions
- The student should be toilet trained (no pull-ups)
- Should students have 3 toilet accidents, their enrollment will be paused until they are deemed ready.
- Smooth transition into the classroom from parents’ care
- Show respect towards teachers and peers
- Hands and feet to themselves
- Demonstrate self-control (no tantrums)
- Arrive on time as class strictly starts at 9:15 am (students may arrive no earlier than 9:00 am)
- Be collected on time at 2:00 pm sharp (no earlier than 1:50 pm)
- Hand in completed homework each week (first lesson of the week)
- Dress modestly (shoulders, stomach, and knees should be covered)
What Your Child Needs To Bring:
Please ensure that all items, including the school bag, are clearly labeled with the child’s full name.
Children are expected to bring the following each day:
Bag
Should fit all other belongings
Clear A4 display folder
Packed Lunch
Please do not pack food that needs to be reheated.
Change of clothing and underwear
In case of accidents or spills
Paint shirt
Water bottle

Managing Behaviour
As an Islamic tuition center, we encourage Islamic manners and behavior. This is what we call Adab.
Teachers will ensure that students know the limits of their behavior and encourage students to display the utmost Islamic manners at all times. Of course, we understand that children make mistakes and that they are still learning, and always keep this as our main consideration.
In order to instil Islamic Adab, we apply a reward and management system that will encourage students to continue and repeat good Adab and deter bad Adab. Just like our merciful Lord implements with us, punishments are left as the last resort. We want to provide our students with as many chances to learn from their actions and to improve their behavior. This also helps with teaching repentance.
